Police concern for missing Winthorpe woman
Police are growing increasing concerned for the welfare of an 81-year-old woman who has not been seen since Sunday morning.
Veronica Kinder was last seen at her home in Pocklington Crescent, Winthorpe, near Newark, at around 11.30am.
She has not been seen since and was reported missing yesterday morning (Monday).
Teams of officers have been carrying out searches in the area but she has not yet been found.
Police believe Mrs Kinder, who may be driving a blue Toyota Aygo, could be in Newark or the surrounding area.
She is white, around 4ft 10ins tall, of medium build, and has white collar-length hair. She may be carrying a small purple handbag.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen Mrs Kinder to get in touch.
Newark Inspector Andy Gan said: “Mrs Kinder has never gone missing before and this is completely out of character for her.
“Her family is understandably upset and just wants to know that she is safe and well.
“Anyone who thinks they may have seen her should contact police as any information received could help us find her.”
