Police name second person who died in Epperstone bypass crash

A passenger who died in a collision in a Nottinghamshire road last week has been named by police.

Louise Katrina Hunt, 36, of Ravenshead, was travelling in a Saab car which was in collision with a Nissan Qashqai on the A6097 Epperstone by-pass, near Woodborough Mill, at around 8.10pm on Friday 26 August.

The male driver of the Saab is in a serious condition in hospital.

The driver of the Nissan also died in the crash and was named earlier today as 43-year-old Mark Peter Gallagher, from Warwickshire.

Four people, a woman and three children, who were also travelling in the Nissan were injured. The woman is in a serious condition in hospital.

The children’s injuries are not life-threatening and their condition is described as stable.
