Police make plea for witnesses after 85-year-old woman hit on the head with pushchair.




A plea for witnesses has been made by police after an 85-year-old woman was hit on the head with a push chair.

The pensioner was in her garden in Queen Street, Bottesford, at around 8pm on Sunday, July 16, when the small push chair was thrown over a fence from Queen’s Walk. The chair hit the woman on the back of the head. Police say there were no serious injuries.

In a plea to residents for help, PCSO Claire Gray says in a message on Neighbourhood Alert: “A group of teenagers were seen in the area at the time and may have information to help with the investigation.

“They have been described as white, aged 14 to 17 years, all with short brown hair and wearing black tracksuit bottoms. Two had black tops, one was wearing a black puffa gilet with a navy and white t-shirt underneath and a fourth was wearing a light blue t-shirt.”

PCSO Gray said that there had been a further incident of a boy on a bicycle banging on the victim’s door “causing distress”.
