The recent attempt by Prime Minister Boris Johnson to approve the timetable of his Brexit deal in just three days was rejected.
Though the House of Commons voted in favour of the newly-negotiated withdrawal bill itself, Mr Johnson chose to pause the Brexit process and, wait for the European Union's response to his letter that requested a three-month delay.
