The riverside pub, The Bromley at Fiskerton has closed
A popular pub that has over 1000 reviews with a four-and-a-half out of five average score on Facebook has announced that it is now closed.
The proprietors of the Bromley at Fiskerton have confirmed that its doors are now shut as they focus on their other business and retirement plans.
The news has come as a shock to many of the riverside pub's customers on social media.
"After nearly 10 years of running the Bromley at Fiskerton we have decided to close this chapter of our lives as part of our retirement plan," said Pete and Shirley Smith.
"We will continue to offer our lovely food and service at our sister pub The Countryman Pub and Dining in Kirkby in Ashfield."
The Bromley's website said that the couple have had pubs in the Nottinghamshire area for many years.
When asked by a customer on social media whether the pub would be closed permanently, they said: "Unfortunately the brewery has been unable to find suitable new tenants at present, but hopefully someone will take the business on in the future."
