Reader's letter: Pothole theory

Now the nights are getting lighter (and warmer) I have resumed my evening walks around Newark.

Despite having frequently read in the Advertiser about the many potholes in Newark, I was genuinely shocked by the just how bad the situation is.

Some roads have more potholes than tar!

I was particularly impressed by the crater about halfway along Bowbridge Road.

Come on Nottinghamshire County Council, get your act together. You can surely do better than this.

Or perhaps this is a new road safety measure because you certainly cannot speed while trying to avoid the holes. ­— R. MILLER, Newark.
