Ryan Weekley, from Newark, from ITV’s Love Island, launches ELIXR ENERGY pre-workout drink

A Newark entrepreneur has teamed up with a fellow local celebrity to launch a brand new pre-workout drink.

Fans of ITV’s Love Island will probably remember Ryan Weekley, from Newark, who appeared on the show last year.

Now he has joined forces with Ben Stevens to produce ELIXR ENERGY, a brand new pre workout energy drink which has been in the works for the best part of a year.

Ben said that he and Ryan, who served in the Royal Navy together, were working out together in the gym and decided to create their own pre-workout drink.

After Ryan’s stint on Love Island, they decided to strike while the iron was hot and capitalise on his time in the public eye to create their new product.

Ben said: “We spent a lot of time designing it and deciding on the ingredients to make something better than what’s already out there in the market.

“We want something that people don’t have to feel guilty when drinking, something it’s a lot cleaner with more natural ingredients and supplements and not full of sugar.”

As well as natural flavours, ELIXR ENERGY is sugar free and is full of ingredients known for their aid in recovery or energy boosts, such as Vitamin B-12, 6, and 3, L-carnitine for energy boost, L-arginine to helps the body build protein, and various antioxidants.

“We didn’t know what to expect from the launch, but we’ve had a lot of backing from local people and Mr Olympia gym has already requested to stock it, which is brilliant,” Ben added.
