Lovers’ Lane Primary School joins multi-academy trust — Flying High Partnership




A primary school is celebrating a new era as it joins a multi-academy trust ranked in the top five performing in the country.

Lovers’ Lane Primary School joined Flying High Partnership, a multi-academy trust of 34 schools which is ranked in the top five performing multi-academy trusts in the country with 10 or more primary schools.

The school is also enjoying a schedule of classroom and building renovations which have started in the Early Years environment.

Dave Morris, the Flying High Partnership Operations Team said: “We have taken steps to uplift our foundation area at Lovers’ Lane Primary School, with works comprising of a full redecoration, new flooring, and improved layouts for our youngest children.

“The Early Years is a great place to begin improving the environment in Lovers’ Lane, and the children are very excited to see the changes once it’s finished.

“We’re also making some small but significant improvements to the fabric of the building alongside the aesthetic changes, enhancing safety throughout the school as we go.”

The primary school, on Warburton Street, Newark, is currently led by interim headteacher Rhian Richardson, who will remain in post until the newly appointed James Wood becomes headteacher after the Easter holidays.

Interim headteacher, Rhian Richardson said: “Lovers Lane Primary School is soaring into a bright new era as part of the Flying High Partnership.

“This exciting journey marks the beginning of incredible opportunities for our children, staff, and community.

“With a shared vision of excellence, innovation, and ambition, we are ready to unlock new potential, inspire young minds, and build a future filled with success.

“The sky is the limit, and together, we are Flying High.”
