Newark: HMP Lowdham Grange inmate further jailed for assaulting two prison wardens among Nottingham Magistrates' Court listings




Here's a round-up of the latest cases heard at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.

A WOMAN who committed an assault on a man at her home address in Newark was fined £200 at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.

Ciara Haines, of Welbeck Avenue, pleaded guilty and was also told to pay £119 in costs.

The 22-year-old was cleared of assaulting a second man as part of the incident.

A MAN who damaged his next door neighbour's fence was sentenced to a community order at the same court.

Aidan Sheppard, 24, of Harebell Gardens, Bingham, was found guilty at trial of criminal damage and must do ten days of rehabilitation as part of a six-month community order.

Sheppard was also fined £237 by magistrates and told to pay costs of £395.

Charges of using threatening behaviour on Harebell Gardens, using threatening behaviour towards a man and woman living at the neighbouring property, were dismissed.

However, the operational period of a prison sentence of six weeks, suspended for 12 months, for offences of criminal damage and battery was extended to 14 months because he re-offended.

AN INMATE at HMP Lowdham was further jailed for assaulting two prison wardens.

Glen Spedding, 37, admitted the assaults and was sentenced to a further eight weeks.

He was also told to pay £50 in compensation to each of the prison officers.
