Nottingham Crown Court given update on attempted murder case of surgeon Peter Brooks




An update has been given in court on the case of surgeon Peter Brooks, who is accused of attempted murder.

This morning's hearing at Nottingham Crown Court was attended by Mr Brooks through a video link.

A provisional trial date has been set for May 9 at the crown court.

Mr Brooks, 56, of Landseer Road, Southwell, denies charges of attempted murder, attempted arson with intent to endanger life and possessing a knife.

It relates to an incident in which Graeme Perks, a retired plastic surgeon, suffered serious injuries at his home in Halam Hill, Halam, on January 14, 2021.

Mr Brooks remains in custody.
