The Rutland Arms Hotel fundraiser helps support Beaumond House Community Hospice




A pub fun day raised money for a local hospice.

The Rutland Arms Hotel, Newark, held the well-attended event on Sunday.

It raised money for Beaumond House Community Hospice by offering activities including a bouncy castle, live reggae music and a barbecue.

“The event was absolutely amazing because we received brilliant support from the town. ­We are still selling raffle tickets,” said Rutland Arms owner David Potter.

Mr Potter said the event had brought the community together.

He said: “It has humbled me. We are definitely putting on the event again next year.

“The reggae band was so amazing that I have been encouraged to start a reggae night.

“We would like to thank everyone involved.”
