BackToLife Clinic at Northgate Business Centre, Newark, is putting a spring in Santa’s step
Santa has a spring in his step once more — just in time for his Christmas rounds.
The rough and tumble of coming down chimneys had taken its toll and old St Nick needed helping hands this year.
So who to call?
Ian Jenkinson, principal osteopath at the BackToLife Clinic at the Northpole Business Centre, well Northgate Business Centre, in Newark was the man who could help.
Santa said years of lugging heavy presents had taken their toll on his knees and arms, resulting in a double knee replacement.
At the beginning of his sessions with Ian he walked with a stick and couldn’t lift anything.
But after five sessions he has a spring in his step again and was fit enough to take a sleigh ride to Barnby Road Academy to see what the children there wanted in their stockings this year.
“I was completely worn out,” said Santa.
“Ian has done a fantastic job and I mean it, I’m not just saying it. The transformation has been amazing.
“Santa has gone from potentially being stuck at the North Pole to being back to his best.”
Ian said: “I didn’t know that I was working on Santa to start with as he kept his identity a secret.
“When he first started coming here he had sharp pains and pins and needles bless him.
“I’m pleased to have upped his spirits so that he can put a smile on children’s faces again this year.”
Santa said: “He certainly gave me a good workout to get me ready for the chimneys again this year.”
