Leaflets have been handed out to rail commuters encouraging them to take part in consultation on a new timetable which could see peak-time trains from Newark to London reduced.
Newark and Sherwood District Council handed out around 1,000 leaflets to regular train users at Newark Northgate Station on Tuesday.
Officers who handed out the leaflets included the council chief executive, Mr Andrew Muter.
The leaflet sets out the issues which could affect Newark as a result of proposed timetable changes to the East Coast Main Line.
