An exhibition of photos, articles and recollections of the Queen from the Newark Advertiser archives is on display at a library.
The display at Newark Library — which marks 70 years since the Queen’s coronation and the Platinum Jubilee — reflects on how the townspeople of Newark and surrounding villages celebrated the accession and coronation of Queen Elizabeth II back in 1953.
All pictures, articles and reflections on show have been sourced from the Newark Advertiser archives between 1952 and 1953.
The display is a live exhibition and people can continue to visit it at the library up until and across the Platinum Jubilee weekend of celebrations.
