Relationships expert to talk about debut novel on ITV show
A relationship and dating expert is set to appear on television’s Loose Women on Tuesday talking about her first novel.
Annabelle Knight, of Cromwell, regularly appears on ITV’s This Morning as an agony aunt and has appeared in a similar role on Channel 5’s Big Brother and ITV’s The O’Brien show.
Annabelle’s first novel, The Endless Autumn, is now in print and tells the story of Autumn, who works as a PA at a PR company. Her life changes drastically and she is soon thrown into a world of luxury with high-flyers and fantasies.
The story is based on love, lust and loss, and was inspired by a dream. It falls into the erotic romance genre, not dissimilar to the best-selling Fifty Shades Of Grey by EL James.
“The essence of the story is based on a dream I had, and I had been sitting on the story idea for years,” Annabelle said.
“My idea came well before Fifty Shades Of Grey came out and when I saw how well the book was doing with both genders, it inspired me to make a start on my book.
“It was only in 2015 that I decided to write the book and, although the dream was there, I built on the story.
“The feedback so far has been positive and Katie Price (model and television presenter) who I have worked with, said she loved it.
“One of my friends said the book was written well, and the sex scenes were not too graphic and not too romantic — that I had struck a nice balance.”
Annabelle studied computer science and engineering at De Monfort University, Leicester.
After graduating she moved to Bristol to live with her sister, Sabrina, who was studying there.
Annabelle, 32, was working as an admin assistant.
“If it wasn’t for that row, I wouldn’t be here today.”
“I had a blazing row with my sister because I wasn’t enjoying my job and she encouraged me to do something I liked,” Annabelle said.
“University was the best days of my life and my degree involved doing camera work and I liked working behind the scenes of the camera.
“If it wasn’t for that row, I wouldn’t be here today.”
After leaving Bristol, Annabelle worked in London as a model and presenter.
It was there she met her husband, Matt Bell, a presenter, best known for his role on Got To Dance with Davina McCall and his work on Sky TV.
Annabelle also worked as a property developer and presented on antiques shows. She later moved to Bath, where she worked for Love Honey, which sells adult toys.
She has recently brought out her own range of toys with Love Honey and is now a certified couples counsellor, appearing regularly on television.
“I have taken a little step back from television so I can concentrate on my writing and on my second book, which is also based on a dream I had,” Annabelle said.
“There is a second part to The Endless Autumn but that will not come out for a while yet.
“I am also doing a lot of work with magazines, including Reveal and Now, and writing columns and doing interviews.”
The Endless Autumn, published by Austin Macauley publishers, is available from Amazon and Waterstones.
