Newark Police mount anti-speeding operation in East Stoke

Twelve speeding motorists were captured on camera in a policing operation in just 20 minutes.

Newark Police responded to complaints from residents to mount an anti-speeding operation in East Stoke.

Speed cameras were used at Fosse Road in East Stoke, the old A46.

Forty vehicles were checked within a 20 minute period, 12 of which were travelling above the 30mph limit.

Of these, at least half were local drivers.
