Police have attended the scene.

The shop was previously hit by a car on December 7, 2019 — forcing the shop to remain closed for nearly a year.

A spokesman for the shop said they are absolutely devastated that it has happened again so soon after they reopened after the last time.

They assume the charity shop will have to close again, but say it is too early to say.

The incident happened in early hours this morning, and the car managed to drive off despite the damage.

The spokesman added: "There is a car somewhere in Newark today with a huge amount of damage."

Anyone with any information about the incident should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101.
