Free farm safety and rural crime prevention event to be held at Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire
A free event will be held to give advice on farm safety and rural crime prevention at the Newark Showground.
The event is organised by Wilkin Chapman Solicitors, the National Farmers Union and the Nottinghamshire and Newark Agricultural Society.
The event will be held on Wednesday, March 6 between 9am and 4pm.
“Every employer has a legal obligation to ensure the health, safety and welfare of their employees and others affected by their operations,” said a spokesman for the event.
“This includes rural, farm, and agriculture businesses.
“If health and safety come under your remit, our free farm safety event is essential to attend.
“With over 20 safety and crime organisations in attendance, we’ll provide practical information about ways to be safer on the farm and share our top tips for preventing accidents.
“You will also learn about the steps you can take to reduce the risk of you or your business being a target of rural crime.”
