Newark Fire Station hold Christmas open day to raise money for charity

A Fire Station has raised over £850 from a Christmas open day which will see the money go to The Fire Fighters Charity.

The event at Newark Fire Station saw food and market stalls, a vintage fire engine and Santa abseiling down the side of a building to the thrill of onlookers.

Fire dogs were also in attendance and were a big hit with the crowd.

The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community.
