It has been a busy time for Cherubs.

They had a stall at the village’s Christmas lights switch-on to raise money for its charity partner, Young Minds, and to provide a room for a homeless person for a year.

Staff, who had been preparing the event for months, had a wine/water game, Christmas biscuits and two raffles — raising more than £220.

In addition, youngsters have sung carols to residents of Nightingale nursing home.

Because of covid restrictions, they could not perform inside the home this year, so instead sang carols at the windows.
