Nottinghamshire County Council’s registration service to hold wedding fairs in Newark, Mansfield and West Bridgford

Three wedding fairs are to be held by a council’s registration service this year to help couples plan their big day.

Couples will be able to find out more about the county's array of venues and available services at the free-to-attend fairs, held by Nottinghamshire County Council's Registration Service, in Newark, Mansfield and West Bridgford.

The events have been organised throughout the year to provide an opportunity to view the ceremony rooms, interact with registrars and meet with wedding service providers.

Attendees will also be able to enter a free raffle to win a marriage or civil partnership ceremony at any of the council’s registration offices in the district of Nottinghamshire (conditions apply).

On the day attendees will be able to find out what services are available to make their big day special.

A range of wedding suppliers will be attending the events to offer inspiration on everything from flowers, wedding vehicles and wedding dresses to menswear, cakes, photography and hair and make-up.

Places can be booked online here.

The events will be taking place at Mansfield County House on February 24, Newark’s The Gilstrap on March 16, and West Bridgford’s Bridgford Hall on November 9.

Scott Carlton, cabinet member for communities and public health, said: “Nottinghamshire is a great place to get married with lots of options for venues and our registration service offers ceremonies to suit all couples.

“The registration team works hard to help couples who are saying ‘I do’ plan their perfect day. The wedding fairs will certainly provide lots of useful information and ideas for anyone planning a wedding, as well as access to suppliers and industry experts.”
