Scouts create a splash at gala

Scouts and leaders took turns to get a soaking in the stocks at a gala day on Sunday that raised money for the upkeep of their headquarters.

All sections of the Balderton Scout Group from the Beavers through to the oldest Explorer Scouts took part in the annual gala at their Queen Street headquarters.

Group Scout Leader Mr David Newton said although they had not yet added up the money he felt it had been a very successful day.

Attractions included the Balderton Scout and Guide Band, games and stalls.
