Search continues for missing parrot - five months after it flew off
A family has not given up hope of finding their African Grey parrot who went missing five months ago.
Eight-year-old Molly flew away from home on Newark Road, Coddington, at around 7pm on Friday, June 9.
Owners Sonya and Steve Towle, who have had Molly since she hatched, are offering a £1,000 reward for her safe return.
Sonya said: "Sometimes when it gets colder and food isn't as plentiful we have heard of a few Greys seeking human company in the hope of getting food."
She asked for anyone who had bought a parrot since June to check for a leg ring to see whether it belonged to her.
"Thank you to everyone who has contacted me so far," she said.
"There have been so many kind people."
Molly is a bit smaller than a pigeon and has mainly grey feathers with some white around her eyes and bright red tail feathers.
Anyone who sees Molly should call Sonya on 07837 159771.
