Seasonal fun for residents of the Troc Residential Home, Newark

Care home residents enjoyed some Easter fun with a host of seasonal activities.

The Troc Residential Home, Newark, held an Easter-themed day of activities for their residents on Thursday of last week, making bonnets and enjoying an egg hunt.

There was also an Easter fair on Saturday, where the residents’ friends and family attended the event to help raise funds for the resident’s comfort fund.

As well as having a competition for the Easter bonnets they had made on the Thursday, which was won by Pat Foster, the residents and their visitors also enjoyed listening to a visiting accordian player and took part in some dancing, before tucking in to a buffet put on by the staff.

The event raised around £60 for the fund, and the Troc’s activities co-ordinator Kate Bagrie said: “It went wonderfully, and the residents and their families had a lovely time.”
