Lincolnshire Police arrest second man on suspicion of murder after body recovered in Bassingham




A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, after a body was recovered in a village.

Lincolnshire Police officers investigating the murder made a second arrest yesterday evening (March 27), after a body was recovered during searches in Bassingham.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The man previously arrested, also aged 27, remains in police custody.

A murder investigation was launched at the weekend, with enquiries ongoing in the areas of Shuttleworth House in Lincoln, and in Bassingham, where residents will continue to see an increased police presence.

It followed the report of a concern for the welfare of a 26-year-old woman at Shuttleworth House.

Police have appealed for relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to be shared via the Major Incident Public Portal.
