Second World War picture quiz held for Newark Archaeological and Local History Society members

A second world war picture quiz was held for members of Newark Archaeological and Local History Society at Newark Library.

The event, organised by Newark’s local studies librarian, Mr Tim Warner, consisted of questions about Newark townscapes from 1939 to 1945.

There are still places available for the society’s outing to York and the Jorvik Museum taking place on Wednesday, July 2.

A coach will leave Newark at 9.30am.

The event is priced at £18 for the day, or £12 for those not wishing to attend the museum.
