The Salvation Army wants more volunteers to help in its charity shop at Brisbane Court, Balderton.
There are eight volunteers and ideally another four are needed, particularly to work on Fridays and Saturday mornings.
Mr and Mrs Derek Cripps, of Balderton, have been volunteers for 41/2 years and help out two days a week.
Mr Cripps, 73, said the new volunteers would help sort and price donated goods, keep the shop clean and tidy and serve customers.
Mrs Edna Cripps, 71, said training would be given but volunteers needed to be reliable and available to work at least half a day a week.
