Fiskerton showcase of vintage military items and cars set to wow enthusiasts for second year running
A classic show is being held for avid vintage lovers to enjoy for a second year running, writes Ella Mather.
The Vintage Show in Fiskerton showcases some of the most desired vintage items in the county — with vintage automobile cars, push bikes, motorbikes, military equipment, stationary engines and tractors all on display for the public.
There'll be lots to do at the show with local businesses coming to sell their items on stalls, including nuts and bolts.
Last year's show proved to be a success, drawing crowds of more than 200 people and the £1,200 total profits being split between the Alzheimer's Society and Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
This year's numbers are unforeseen by event organisers, though expected to be just as big as last year.
Rob Smith, event organiser, said: "The reason why started last year is I'd been tutting with the idea for a number of years.
"Hopefully, this year, we're going to do it for Beaumond House Hospice Care in Newark.
"It brings people into the area doesn't it really? Hopefully they'll support the local pubs and post office."
The event takes place on July 16 and will be held at a field near Fiskerton, postcode NG25 0UG.
