Pupils at Newark’s Magnus Church of England School are pictured braving the cold to take part in their annual 15-mile challenge.
It is a personal challenge for students and staff to kick-start the year in a positive way.
Each lap of the school field is half a mile, so pupils and staff walk or run the field 30 times.
Often participants have previous times they want to beat.
The challenge has been running for seven years. Last year, runners clocked up 11,757 miles and 320 staff and students took part.
