Newark issued yellow snow and ice weather warning from Met Office today

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Newark today.

Snow and ice is expected across most areas in Nottinghamshire, from around 5pm until the late evening.

Here's what you should expect:

• Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces

• Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths

• Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
