Sold out firework show at Renaissance Kelham Hall a glittering success
A sell-out firework show has been hailed a glittering success by organisers.
Renaissance Kelham Hall's event hosted live music, street food and a family funfair as well as a large firework display.
Live music was provided by Matthew Stephens.
Managing director Stuart Downham said: “Tonight, was a huge success; it has been fantastic to see the local community coming together and enjoying Kelham Hall again. We curated the show carefully to provide fun and entertainment for all ages, and we intend to expand on this for our future events. We look forward to maintaining our high standards for the year ahead, including our tribute nights and outdoor festivals next year.
“We have a great team at Renaissance at Kelham Hall and look forward to becoming the premiere venue for a wide-ranging calendar of events. I would like to thank the people who attended the show, who came from all over Newark, Lincolnshire, and Nottinghamshire, and hope we will see them again for more events throughout the year.”
Held on Sunday, the show was the hall's first public event under new ownership.
Among the attendees was Nottingham resident Samantha Mayfield, who came with family and friends.
She said, “The children were really excited to see the fireworks and were hoping to see some big ones — they were not disappointed. They were also keen to go on the rides and have a go on the stalls. When we arrived, we saw children using sparklers so that was the first thing we tried, and they loved it.”
“The actual firework display was amazing. We absolutely loved it, the music with the fireworks was brilliant and the boys enjoyed doing the big countdown to the show. They loved the whole experience, and we think it’s the best fireworks display we’ve been to. We are definitely going to Kelham again next year.”
Abi Moody, festival and events manager at Renaissance Kelham Hall, added: “The event was a fantastic success and we have had such positive feedback from families who attended. Kelham Hall provided a truly magical backdrop for the fireworks, and it was heart-warming for staff to see the smiles on everyone’s faces.
“We owe our thanks to the public for joining us and to the stalls, rides and entertainment for making this a night to remember.”
