Soldier's is greatest love story

A soldier who lost both legs in a battle with the Taliban and his wife have been named as Cosmopolitan magazine's Ultimate Love Story.

Rachael and Nathan Cumberland, from Fernwood, picked up the award at a star-studded, annual Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards at Banqueting House in London where guests included Tulisa, Kelly Rowland, Amanda Holden and Olly Murs.

The Cumberlands received their awards alongisde a string of celebrities and real life folk.

Last year Lance-sergeant Cumberland kept a promise to walk his bride down the aisle after mastering prosthetic legs less than a year after losing his in a Taliban gunfight.
