Train enthusiasts watched as a 1937 steam locomotive passed through Newark and Langford on Saturday.

The Sir Nigel Gresley 60007 steam locomotive left Bridgnorth, Shropshire, at 8.25am.

It travelled along the Newark to Lincoln line, passing through Newark Castle station about an hour and 15 minutes late after a delay at Nottingham.

Its final destination was Doncaster.

It was a joint tour with the Severn Valley Railway Association and The Railway Touring Company.

Around 20 people gathered at Langford to see the locomotive pass them and take photographs of the occasion.
