Bingham Toot Hill School students sanctioned after tampering with dead pigeon




Two secondary school pupils have been sanctioned after tampering with a dead pigeon.

The year 11 students at Toot Hill School, Bingham, are said to have discovered the remains of the dead bird on the school site.

NOVA Educational Trust, the school's operator, said the pupils involved with the moving of the pigeon had been issued with appropriate sanctions.

It follows reports on social media that stated the bird had been deliberately killed.

The trust said: "On Thursday, September 23, two year 11 pupils discovered the remains of a deceased pigeon on the school site.

"No pupils have been expelled from the school, however, the two pupils involved with the moving of the deceased pigeon have been issued with appropriate sanctions in response to the incident."
