Talk In Italy language courses to go from room in LetsXcape to students having Italian lunch at Bistro No17
A language tutor has announced the course’s first Italian lunch experience is set to take place this summer.
Kate Wright, who has been teaching Italian in Newark since November 2024, moving from the Governor’s House to the LetsXcape’s cantina, has announced a new expansion.
On July 9, at the Bistro No17 on Cartergate, Newark, students taking classes with Talk in Italy will be served a three-course Italian lunch, where they can practice ordering and chatting in Italian.
The lunch, from 12.30pm until 2.30pm, will be cooked by the restaurant’s chef Takahura Sato, for the cost of £30, and people can bring their own wine.
“I am a massive fan of carbonara having lived in Rome for almost a third of my life, so it is very exciting to be able to offer a restaurant that serves one that is molto buono (very good),” Kate said.
The three-course meal will include vegetarian and toasted soup as appetizers, and the main courses offered are spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti with puttanesca sauce or spaghetti with mushrooms, with a choice of 10 flavours of Italian ice cream for dessert.
Kate offers a variety of Italian courses dedicated to people’s different skills and what they expect to achieve with the language.
