Support for Sport Relief

Schools, groups and organisations in the Newark area held events to raise money for Sport Relief yesterday.

Many school children walked, ran, jumped or danced a mile to raise money.

Other activities included a sponsored rowing competition and a sports quiz.

Sport Relief is a national fundraising initiative that helps to tackle child poverty in the UK and abroad.

A sponsored mile walk to raise money for Sport Relief will be held at the Grove Leisure Centre, Balderton, tomorrow at 12pm.
