Newark and Sherwood and Rushcliffe rank in the UK's top 25 best places to live, according to Halifax's quality of life survey
Newark and Sherwood has been listed as one of the UK's best place to live, according an annual quality of life survey.
The district ranked 24th on the list of 50 places, which were ranked by employment, earnings, housing affordability, health and wellbeing, education, traffic and crime rates among other factors.
The Halifax Quality of Life survey looked at how local authority areas compare, and takes into consideration 26 different factors that home buyers may consider when choosing a place to live.
Rushcliffe also made the list, coming in two places higher than Newark and Sherwood in 22nd.
East Hertfordshire proved to offer the best qualify of life.
