Talking Newspaper appeal

More recording technicians are needed to help produce the Newark and District Talking Newspaper, which goes to about 80 homes in the area.

Co-ordinator Mr Derek Dickinson, who has been involved with the project since it started 28 years ago, said they were desperately looking for technicians to join one of the five teams of readers and editors.

The work takes about 21/2 hours on a five-weekly basis.

Mr Dickinson said full training would be given and they needed someone with a basic knowledge of computers who had a little time to spare.

He said: “It would be suitable for a young student or somebody older looking for some voluntary work.”

Anyone able to help can contact Mr Dickinson on 01636 676805.
