Mad Hatters reopens its doors on Kirkgate, Newark
A popular tearoom has reopened its doors with a promise of ‘more madness and a whole different outlook’.
Mad Hatters reopened on Kirkgate, Newark, on Friday (February 14) offering a different style — while still staying true to its quirky origins.
“Everybody has been so friendly and welcoming. It just feels that this is where we are supposed to be. This is where we established and we should never have left in the first place,” said Clare.
The business left a site in Appletongate on September 28 last year but then reopened at 39 Kirkgate on November 15 before closing again less than two months of reopening.
Clare had also taken over the Crafty Cafe at Fulbeck’s Craft Centre on November 7 — but this closed earlier this month.
The new space has a in-house artist and in the future Clare is hoping to host cake and paint sessions.
