Nottinghamshire Police appeal for information after teenage boy, 16, dies in collision at Besthorpe Road, Collingham
A 16-year-old boy has died after a motorcycle collision in Collingham.
Emergency services were called to Besthorpe Road around 11.25am on Saturday (March 29) following reports a rider had come off his bike.
A sixteen-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and he sadly died on Sunday. His family members are being supported by specially trained officers.
No other vehicles were involved, but officers from Nottinghamshire Police still want to speak to anyone with any information or relevant dashcam footage.
Detective Constable Liah Lane, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the teenager's family and friends at an extremely distressing time.
“We believe a number of passing motorists could be able to help with our inquiries into this incident and I’d urge them to come forward without delay.”
