The Great British Koi Show will be Newark Showground this weekend




Some of the biggest and rarest Koi fish will be at the Great British Koi Show this weekend.

The Yorkshire Sections BKKS will be presenting the event at the Newark Showground, Lincoln Road, Winthorpe this weekend, August 24 and 25.

At the event, there will be a number of activities such as craft stands, wet and dry sales, a 32,000-foot indoor Koi show, children’s entertainment and food and drinks available to visitors.

One of the organisers of the event, Jow Mitchell said: “I'm so excited to welcome everyone, it is going to promise to be an amazing weekend, even for someone who is not interested in Koi, come and have a view.

“This year we have added more traders selling fish and dry goods, with the best collection of Hobbyists exhibiting their Koi we have ever had.

“Last year we even had a fish over 100cm long.”

The entry fee is £7.50 for adults and for children under 12 years old is free.

The event will be from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to pm on Sunday.
