THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (FISKERTON STATION LEVEL CROSSING, STATION ROAD, FISKERTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017 (NK228-17)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effects will in respect of a roads in Fiskerton and Brinkley in the District of Newark and Sherwood: -
1. No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road: -
i. Fiskerton Road, Brinkley - from the north-western Crossing Barrier of Fiskerton Station Level Crossing for a distance of 50 metres in a north-westerly direction.
ii. Station Road, Fiskerton - from the south-eastern Crossing Barrier of Fiskerton Station Level Crossing for a distance of 50 metres in a south-easterly direction.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: -
The Order will come into force on Saturday 14th October 2017 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Network Rail to carry out Highway Remedial Works
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of the restriction the alternative route will be via:
Station Road (Fiskerton) – Main Street – Fiskerton Road (Rolleston) – Staythorpe Road, A617, Main Road (Averham) – Main Road (Hockerton) – Main Street (North of Southwell Upton) – Southwell Road – Upton Road – Easthorpe (Southwell) – Fiskerton Road – Spring Hill – Fiskerton Road (Brinkley) and vice versa
