THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ( MICKLEDALE LANE, MICKLEDALE CLOSE, VALLEY ROAD, ALANDALE, CROSS STREET, CROMPTON ROAD, VALLEY APPROACH, SAVILLE ROAD, BILSTHORPE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2012
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effects will be: Vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road at Bilsthorpe in the District of Newark and Sherwood:-
1. Mickledale Lane, Bilsthorpe, from a point 350 metres east of its junction with A614 Old Rufford Road (east side of Strawsons entrance) to its junction with C49 Eakring Road
2. Mickledale Close, at its junction with Mickledale Lane for a distance of 10 metres north
3. Valley Road, at its junction with Mickledale Lane for a distance of 10 metres north
4. Alandale, at its junction with Mickledale Lane for a distance of 10 metres south
5. Cross Street, at its junction with Mickledale Lane for a distance of 10 metres south
6. Crompton Road, at its junction with Mickledale Lane for a distance of 10 metres south
7. Valley Approach, at its junction with Mickledale Lane for a distance of 10 metres north
8. Saville Road, at its junction with Mickledale Lane for a distance of 10 metres south
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:-
As and when necessary between
07:00 hours Monday 10th September 2012 and 18:00 hours Sunday 23rd September 2012 inclusive
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative routes available will be via
A614 Old Rufford Road – C13 Eakring Road, Rufford – C49 Eakring Road, Bilsthorpe and vice versa
The Order will come into force on Monday 10th September 2012 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable carriageway resurfacing works on Mickledale Lane to be carried out.
