THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (NEWARK CASTLE LEVEL CROSSING, B6326 GREAT NORTH ROAD, NEWARK ON TRENT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2017 (NK225-17)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effects will be in respect of roads at Newark on Trent in the District of Newark and Sherwood: -

Vehicles and Pedestrians are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road: -

Newark Castle Level Crossing, B6326 Great North Road, from a point 30 metres north-west of its north-western crossing barrier to a point 30 metres south-east of its south-eastern crossing barrier.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows (as and when legally signed): -

1. From 22:00 hours on Wednesday 1st November 2017 until 06:40 hours on Thursday 2nd November 2017 inclusive.

2. From 01:00 hours until 08:00 hours on Saturday 25th November 2017.

3. From 01:00 hours until 08:00 hours on Sunday 26th November 2017.

4. From 22:00 hours on Saturday 2nd December 2017 until 21:00 hours on Sunday 3rd December 2017 inclusive.

5. From 22:00 hours on Saturday 9th December 2017 until 08:30 hours on Sunday 10th December 2017 inclusive.

6. From 22:30 hours on Monday 11th December 2017 until 06:40 hours on Tuesday 12th December 2017 inclusive.

7. From 22:30 hours on Tuesday 12th December 2017 until 06:40 hours on Wednesday 13th December 2017 inclusive.

8. From 22:30 hours on Wednesday 13th December 2017 until 06:40 hours on Thursday 14th December 2017 inclusive.

9. From 22:30 hours on Thursday 14th December 2017 until 06:40 hours on Friday 15th December 2017 inclusive.

10. From 23:00 hours on Monday 22nd January 2018 until 06:30 hours on Tuesday 23rd January 2018 inclusive.

11. From 23:00 hours on Tuesday 23rd January 2018 until 06:30 hours on Wednesday 24th January 2018 inclusive.

12. From 23:00 hours on Wednesday 24th January 2018 until 06:30 hours on Thursday 25th January 2018 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of the restriction the alternative route will be via: B6326 Great North Road – A46 – B6166 Lincoln Road – B6166 Lincoln Road Bridge – B6166 North Gate – B6166 Bar Gate and Vice Versa.

The Order will come into force on Wednesday 1st November 2017 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary for health and safety to enable level crossing renewal works to take place. The Order shall continue in force until the event is completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
