THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL(EAKRING ROAD, BILSTHORPE)(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2017 (NK96-17)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effects will be: Vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road at Bilsthorpe in the District of New-ark and Sherwood: -

Eakring Road, from a point 240 metres north of its junction with Mickledale Lane for a distance of 115 metres in a northerly direction.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: -

From 00:01 hours on Monday 31st July 2017 until 23:59 hours on Sunday 3rd September 2017 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative routes available will be:

Eakring Road (Rufford), A614 Old Rufford Road (Bilsthorpe), Mickledale Lane and Vice Versa.

The Order will come into force on Mon-day 31st July 2017 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any sub-sequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are com-pleted (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands Ltd to carry out waterproofing and associated works on Eakring Road Bridge.
