Unsung Heroes Ball : Tickets for Gabrielle show still available

Tables are still available for a fundraising event in aid of military charities that will feature a performance by multi-platinum selling, Brit-Award-winning singer/songwriter Gabrielle.

Music fans will know Gabrielle for hits such as Dreams, Going Nowhere, Give Me A Little More Time, and If You Ever — the duet with East 17 — as well as Out Of Reach, from the soundtrack to the film, Bridget Jones’s Diary.

The Unsung Heroes Ball marks ten years since Johno Lee, 34, then a Lance-corporal with the Yorkshire Regiment, was so badly injured in an explosion in Afghanistan that his heart stopped twice.

Mr Lee, of Coddington, now a Newark and Sherwood district councillor, is helping to organise the ball as a way of saying thank you to those who saved his life and the lives of many of his comrades.

The ball is on September 9 at the Cedric Ford Pavilion, Newark Showground.
