Tickets selling fast for Advertiser Ladies Day at Southwell Racecourse

There is under a month to go before this year's Advertiser Ladies Day at Southwell Racecourse

Thousands of race-goers flock to the circuit for what is one of the highlights of the year on the district’s social calendar.

And this year will be no different, with tickets and packages selling fast, for the event on Sunday, August 14.

As always, it offers the chance to experience the style, drama, and atmosphere as exciting live horse racing and stunning Ladies Day fashion combine to create a fun-filled day out.

The glamorous day offers a full card of seven races ­— racing on the flat ­—­ post-race music entertainment, and, of course, the Style Award with a £500 cash prize for best dressed race-goer ­— male or female.

The first race starts at 2.10pm and there are seven races on the card, with the last due off at 5.35pm.

As last year, the racing will take place on the all-weather flat course, giving added excitement as the fast-paced action is on the track closest to the spectators.

This year’s post-race entertainment is provided by singer and actor Martin Kemp, who will be ‘pick n mix’ Eighties classics DJ set to round-off the day.
