Bus operator Marshalls and Hutchinson Engineering take part in a community drive in Sutton-on-Trent for NHS Clap for Our Carers




Two transportation firms took part in community a drive-about in support of the 8pm Thursday Clap for Our Carers.

Coach and bus operator Marshalls and Hutchinson Engineering took part in a community drive in Sutton-on-Trent.

Many types of vehicles took part, including lorry units, coaches, service buses, tractors and even a steam engine.

Charlie Marshall said: “It bought the whole community out to the front gardens and gates and gave everyone the opportunity to thank all the key workers while we pipped our horns and made lots of noise.

“It was very emotional to see so many people out around the village to support this very unusual experience.”

Both companies have been hit hard by the pandemic.

“But every cloud has a silver lining and our little village of Sutton-on-Trent is very proud of what we do,” said Charlie.

“We are an amazing, caring community.”
