Anyone who saw a man walk across the tracks at Newark Northgate train station are being urged to contact police.

WITNESSES who saw a man walk across the tracks at Newark Northgate train station are being urged to contact police.

This man was seen walking across four train lines with a carrier bag in one hand and a can of beer in the other, oblivious to the train coming into the station behind him.

Eye-witness Jack Boskett said: "The train was coming into the station so was luckily only doing 40 or 50 miles an hour, the driver blared his horn and the guy just carried on going as though it was a regular occurrence. I wouldn't be surprised if he has done this before."
