Newark Glass Group founding director Sandra Mason has died aged 66

A founder director and shareholder of Newark Glass Group, Mrs Sandra Mason, has died from breast cancer, aged 66.

Sandra was born in Northumberland and move to Nottinghamshire when she was five.

Sandra met her future husband, David Mason in 1972.

They set up Newark Glass Group in the early 1980s. This was to be a family business and now has three generations of their family working in the group.

David and Sandra devoted their lives to building up their business while bringing up their children.

David described Sandra as a very special lady who always spoke her own mind and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 9, at 11am at Sutton-on-Trent All Saints’ Church.
